(on how good it is to have WR Jacoby Jones back) “Well, it’s big in our return game, let’s face it. I mean, he can change the field position in what we’re doing. He’s made big plays also as a receiver, so just his presence back and how hard he’s worked to get back as fast as he can, it’s been impressive because our football team needs him.”

    Was about to post this....

    But...

(on going out there with more firepower this week) “Well, to me the biggest one’s Ahman (Green). To have him back and his ability back in the backfield is a big plus for our team. From a receiver standpoint, I can’t sit here and tell y’all enough how well those kids have played. Even though Jacoby (Jones)’s back, those kids have been playing and doing a heck of a job; they’re going to be hard to get off that field right now, and he’s found that out and I think it’s helped him come back a little faster. So hopefully that pushes him.”

(on if WR André Davis and WR Kevin Walter will still start) “Yes. Nothing will change. David (Anderson) will play in the three wides and then Jacoby (Jones) will be a backup for those guys.”

Great to see him back but hopefully he's not forcing it out there. I'd like to see a healthy Jacoby Jones over one who's not fully recovered. Last thing we need is a Jerome Mathis type situation where it's a nagging problem.

From Kubiaks notes, it looks like we will probably mostly see Jacoby returning punts...

Kubiak is absolutly correct to leave things as they are for now. Our Wide recievers are playing their ***** off and have done extreamly well. Why change it if it aint broke. Jacoby is the future #2 for out team no doubt, but for now, those other guys have a slight edge over him. We will mostly see him in the red zone for his slight size advantage, but otherwise its rolling in the pass game.

Hell yeah! If he is just on special teams, that will still help us a lot.

Hopefully our defense can actually force the Jags to punt a few times.

    Excellent news.

The Jag's Punter is only 5-11, 198 lbs and a Rookie....Jacoby should have no problem taking him on one on one this time around. :wild:

Good to see Jacoby back. You mentioned the Jags punters weight and height but did you mention his 4.4 speed (He has also posted 4.3 but we will just say 4.4) that is what really counts on a PR? Oh and he is a great directional punter. That should limit Jacoby's open field. Also throw in two of the best gunners in the league in Starks and Owens. Don't expect too much from Mr. Jones this weekend. So the only excuse you should have this weekend is now limited to AJ. I can handle that!

Damn, I don't know anyone who knows who the gunners are on their teams ST's.
