NEW YORK — Texans receiver Jacoby Jones won the second Super 60 event, blasting past a field of professional athletes and raising an arm in victory about 30 meters into the race at the 104th Millrose Games at Madison Square Garden in New York City on Friday night.

Jones beat a field that included last year's winner and former NFL defensive back Anthony Dorsett; former Arizona Diamondbacks infielder Junior Spivey; Duke basketball star Jay Williams, whose NBA career was derailed by a motorcycle accident; Olympic bobsled gold medalist Steve Mesler and L.A. Galaxy star Bryan Jordan.

He could be doing a lot worse things with his time, say attending shirtless UT parties or dogfighting. Glad he's staying active.

Well, at least they didn't make him field a punt! :kitten:

Seriously, there's WAY worse things he could be spending his time on. I'll take POSITIVE recognition of a Texans player any way I can get it. National Exposure (and wins) are the only way the rest of the country will learn to stop calling us the Titans (or Oilers).

He should be working on route running & catching balls in front of the machine that shoots out footballs at high speeds.

Juggs machine. AJ practically sleeps with one. If JJ would have the same dedication he could be the Harper to AJ's Irvin.

Beating a Bobsledder in a foot race is more impressive than beating a Lumberjack, I think ?

About time he beats someone. Maybe next year some team will employ said bobsledder to play DB and ST si Jacoby could beat someone when it counts.

I was curious to see what a good 60 meter dash time was, so I googled it and found this. It says that most baseball clubs look for a player to run a 60 YARD dash (which is slightly longer) in at least 7 seconds. Are you telling me that one of the faster recievers in the NFL would barely cut it trying out for an MLB team based on speed?? I find that hard to believe.

Actually a yard is shorter than a meter. 60 yards are a little less than 55 meters.

Anybody hear the rumor that Jacoby might meet Russian Olympic shot put champion Irina Korzhanenko in a 60 meter match race ?

If the Bobsledder can catch the ball lets cut Jacoby and sign him in his place.

Bet the Bobsledder could even return kick offs for us in place of SS!!!!

Can we trade him to Oakland for a 3rd round pick?
