Owen fumbles pretty much every game. I know he's a "possession" tight end, but he needs to possess the ball AFTER catching the ball as well.

What happened to Putzier? He was Kubes' boy at one point. OD is making me sick. He doesn't score TD's, he's good for a few catches, a few yards, and a fumble a game.

If OD had just held on, we could have came out with at least three points. That really made me sick. He should have just held on to the ball and went down with the tackle. I don't know what he was doing.

good thing he isn't a RB or we wouldn't see him for a few weeks (if not the rest of the year)

Yeah Owen is really letting me down. He single handedly put us out of this game. The refs blatantly missing holding calls also isn't helping.

I like OD, but his ball carrying is his weakest attribute.

Fumbling is never acceptable, but Owen does catch the ball over the middle and Schaub sets him up for some monster hits much more than any other receiver.

The problem is that a lot of his fumbles aren't on monster hits. They're usually border-line fumbles where he lets the ball out right before he hits the ground.

But OD just got his first TD FWIW.

Right when he caught the ball I said to myself, "I hope he doesn't fumble." Oh well.

I think it's time to see what Dreessen can do. He has more TD receptions than OD and couldn't possibly have a worse fumble/dropping problem.

Not really a excuse, he's TE, he should expect balls over the middle and guys hitting hard.

I am tired of this, his fumbles cause us football games.

He also dropped a ball on a key 3rd down play inside the 5 early in the game. It was a monster hit, but he's gotta make catches like that if we're gonna win games like this.

Oh and not to pile on or anything but he also got steamrolled by Kameron Wimbley which led to a sack...

Not much because the game is over at that point.
Like somebody said earlier in the thread, some of Daniels fumbles come with
minimul or no contact. And he's fumbling at key times in the game. They are killers.

    Houston, again.
If Kubes holds true to form, look for Putz next week and probably Dreesen. He doesn't suffer turn overs very well by players.

You can't be serious. OD is one of the better TEs in the league, albeit he fumbles a lot. He bails us out of so many situations, he's open over the middle of the field and had 80 yards recieving and a TD today. I think you are overreacting WAY WAY too much. Who cares how many TDs Dreessen has? He basically has 2 catches and 2 TDs. O. M. G. I guess that means he catches a TD every reception, huh? OD needs to fix his fumbling problem, but he is still one of the bright spots on our offense.
