It is now officially the off-season. Sad that I look forward to this almost as much as the season starting.

The offseason isn't as bad if you get into soccer. Nothing beats guessing the announcer's accent at 3 AM. Well...except for Texans football.

Football season is too short. And the offseason is too long. The months of March and April aren't bad because there is free agency and the draft, but February and May-August are really bland. At least baseball season is right around the corner.

When does the Dynamo's season start back up? I want to try and get into the games this season. I've been playing FIFA on my roommates xbox 360 for the past couple weeks and gotten into the game a lot more.

Are you kidding..they are mirror images..fumbling snaps, forcing throws they had no business throwing. If anything this game showed me that the people who think we can win with what we have and a top D need to rethink. That D was pummeled after the amount of time of the field. I'm looking for balance this offseason. Now it is draft talk.

April 8. I think. I'd rather watch European soccer, though.

Not really. February is still good after the Super Bowl (Pro-Bowl and Combine). Also, August is alright because of training camp and pre-season. From May-July are the horrible months. Basketball is over in June and baseball bores me.

which turns into a pick.. in the last 2 games he didnt go downfield what so ever.. that one lucky ass pass that his WR saved him against the Saints was the only pass "downfield"...

As for the offseason.. cant wait to see what Rik Smith does

and no draft talk yet... Free Agent first then Draft guys.. go for CB Nate from Buffalo... Moulds its ur job to convince him to come here

No, now we wait for free agency. Then we wait for the draft in April followed by the second round of free agency in June.

For us this is maybe the best time of the year and I'll be happy when that's no longer the case.

:stirpot: Why are people so concerned about the secondary??? I think that is about the sixth most important issue. Ron Dayne is the top RB, both starting OT and DT starters are coming off of season ending injuries, WR is a one man show, and then of course there is the almighty QB question.

I'm not concerned about our secondary at all. In all seriousness we have a Free Safety in CC Brown and a #2 corner in Faggins that would start on every other team in the nfl. :sarcasm:

yea our secondary wouldn't be a problem if this was a JV team in high school. IMO its the biggest hole we have...CC and Glenn Earl are both strong safetie...we need a ball hawking free safety and a legit #2 corner not a nickel back that plays off of dunta. our oline needs a lot of help and depth...our oline needs some more depth and maybe another starter...our wr are fine for now but moulds isnt getting younger...our team is rebuilding so as far as qb goes we need one once the oline is fixed and we dont want the mess him up. running back we'll see...we need a legit starter...dayn lundy and taylor are great to throw in there for rest purposes and change of pace/ running back by committee. we'll see how we go after the draft as far as RB. if peterson is there and we trade or dont' draft him...its RBBC all the way...AP would be a true starter for us.
