    Wrote this 30 mins after we beat Indy for the first time, it happened the day before christmas.

    'Twas the day before Christmas, when all through our house
    Not a creature was cheering, neither me nor my spouse;
    Uniforms were hung by the lockers with care,
    With fears that Manning soon would be there;
    Reggie and Marvin awoke from their beds;
    While visions of records danced in their heads;
    My wife in her jersey, and I in my cap,
    Expecting a loss the usual crap,
    When out from the TV there arose such a clatter,
    I arose from my couch to see what was the matter.
    Away from the kitchen, my wife like a flash,
    Dayne past the goaline, that wonderful hash.
    Up seven points, we looked down below
    To see the colts with nothing, nada ZE-RO.
    When, what to my wondering eyes should appear,
    A fumble by rhodes, my my how queer,
    With a little old driver, so lively and spry,
    Wait just a moment - thats's not Joseph Addai.
    More rapid than eagles his coursers they came,
    And we wistled and shouted, and called him Ron Dayne;
    Now, stop them!, now, Drop them, hit them and tackle!"
    Charles and Seth at 'Meco would kackle
    To the top of the porch, to the top of the wall!
    I was dashing and flying, no way I could fall.
    As dry leaves before the wild hurricane fly,
    No thought of last week, he took to the sky,
    With passes to Andre and Kevin that flew,
    And poise and posture he ran for one too.
    And across the sidelines, under the roof
    They showed peyton manning carrying on like a goof.
    Remote in my hand, as I turned up the sound,
    A game like this can turn a franchise around.
    Dressed in steel blue they looked at his foot,
    We still couldn't believe the presents they put;
    A team full of sorrow, he flung on his back,
    For just one weekend he was leading this pack.
    My eyes -- how they twinkled! my shrills how merry!
    My cheeks like roses, my nose like a cherry!
    I couldn't believe we were defeating this foe,
    Until today we'd been their stepchild you know!
    Then we were tied, with clinching of teeth,
    Lose this one, and Kubes we have Beef;
    But at 245, Ol' Dayne has a belly,
    It shakes when he runs, like a bowlful of jelly.
    He's chubby and plump, and been on the shelf,
    I laughed when we signed him, in spite of myself;
    A raise of his hand, and a kick from his leg
    Surely this was not an FSU egg-

    We spoke not a word, as he let the kick fly,
    If this one had missed; I should think we would die,
    But as luck would have it, as if wrapped with a bow,
    Up went the arms, the zebras hand rose!
    As I sprang to my phone, they did blow the whistle,
    Away our hearts flew like the down of a thistle.
    And I exclaimed, ere they drove out of sight,
    "Happy Christmas to all, and thanks for the fight"
