OK, lets see. We got rid of Brock, and we re signed Griffin.
So as the front office sits around waiting for Jerry to lose the staring contest we have bid farewell AJ B., Simon, and Demps.

The single most glaring need for this team is offensive line, and yet we sit and wait on an aging quarterback, one good hit away from a medically induced retirement. At some point you have to give up the ghost and turn your focus to a different direction. Our D is loosing bench strength, our o line is well, our o line. Why not take the money and fill the holes with plug in vets instead of rookies, and use the draft for future positions of need.

The scenario is the same no matter who you put under center. Swiss cheese O line equals, poor running game, passer under constant duress, and a defense that is gassed from all the time spent on the field due to the three and outs.

I hate to bring up Dallas under any circumstance, but do you think Dak Prescott would have had the year he did, behind this o line. O line is the key, and how the front office does not realize this is beyond me.

Home run ... but you have to take into account who is bringing in those free agents and what our coach can do with them. I mean we signed a couple last year that were pretty good (until they put on a Texans uniform). Obviously it's not how the world works, but I'd rather us draft 2+ offensive linemen early (to endorse your ideal) and once O'Brien gets fired we bring in someone with an ability to teach and scheme these young players to create a strong front.

Our next QB...since you didn't see him spill while drinking he clearly has accuracy and an arm.

Too much is unknown about his footwork though.

Footwork is below average. See that little off balance stumble there as he steps up in the pocket to take that sip of water. Mechanics look great though. Smooth, efficient motion. Almost looks effortless.

Without knowing how many SEC defenses he has played against I'd say 2nd round talent as my initial evaluation. I'd like to see him out of the combine setting to make sure though.

    Yes they are.

Ricky was seen having a large time at the Rockets game the other day. (In the middle of the 1st wave of FA.) Bet you Robinson/Ballard were hard at work. But hey, as long as the fans continue to fill up NRG it doesn't matter.

As much as I dislike all the bashing OB & Rick take on this board, I have to admit that's funny as hell. ROFLMAO

I found that the Texans will be reporting on the 18th. I haven't found what these early sessions may include. I seem to remember that these early sessions may be weight room etc and not on field workout. Anyone know? What is kind of silly league rule is that prior to this date the coaching staff cannot communicate with the players.

My problem with them letting these more or less "middle of the roster" type players walk is that they have taken a page out of the Patriots play book allowing players to leave via free agency, but they have no idea how to correctly identify the proper ones to let go
