    main issue i heard is the owners wont want that and reason is preseason (like the article says) is glorified practices and not all the stars have to play 4 quarters.. and yet owners can still charge full price at the gate.

    That's the only reason I don't care for four pre-season games. Otherwise, they need to leave it alone. Two games is not enough time to evaluate talent and see enough players perform at game speed.

    I don't think there should be an 18 week season. While I love football, leave it the way it is. If there is 18 weeks though, I sure hope a team gets two bye weeks.
