I say take him in the 7th round and stash him on the PS for a year, if possible.

What I'm wondering is how in the hell does this guy "train" to mess his knee up that bad? Did somebody hook him up with a "mystery coach" to get his stock up in the draft?

I keep hearing "If you can dodge a wrench, you can dodge a ball" in the back of my mind.

Accidents happen, especially in the weightroom.

A blown spot on power cling or squats can easily result in torn up knees.

Oh what a bummer. I was really looking forward to watching this guy. Hope he heals quickly and correctly.

I'd take him in the 7th but stash him on IR so nobody can claim him. As long as he's dedicated and works his way back up, it could be a steal like Adewale Ogunleye was a few years back for Miami (they also did the same thing with Rodrique Wright).

We need to get out of the mold of working to rehab players. I want our players to come back but we can't hang our hopes on injured players, like we are doing for Spencer, and now Dunta. Drafting him would do nothing but add a rehab buddy for Dunta. Add solid players, that are hopefully ready to play on day 1 of training camp.

I know a guy that got a bad concussion because the guy spoting him on incline bench dropped the bar on his head.

Another tore a muscle because the guy spotting him on power cling walked off, and he fell back expecting a spot.

Weird shit happens. Greg Oden blew out his knee getting off his couch.

Heck I'd even be willing to spend a 6th on him.

I thought he'd be gone by the time we pick in the 3rd...was a guy to look at if we had traded down from our 1st round pick into the 2nd round, imo

He was a first rounder in some eyes last season before he decided to steal some x-boxes.

You beat me to this. His court date is in March, this is a felony and the DA seems to serious. He could do jail time, unlikely but still possible.

It also shows very poor judgement.

    Read for yourself

thats sucks for him and we should waste a draft pick either if he is not drafted then pick him up after the draft as a FA

Every year, there are at least a few players that go undrafted, that were projected to be drafted. This guy isn't going to be drafted, so there's no way we should spend even a 7th round pick on him.

Charley Casserly would soooooo draft Ikegwuonu.

Edit: Rosenhaus is downplaying Ikegwuonu's injury.
