I always liked Olshansky after he beat the crap out of the Bronco's lineman for cheapshoting him.

Same reason I always like Kyle Turley

I'd take Jamison, D-Lew and possibly even Scooter Berry over Igor any day

I thought he had signed a four year 18 million dollar contract with Dallas a year ago when Wade was HC? Wade drafted him out of Oregon higher than projected (2nd rd.) 41 reps @ the combine which directly translates to the field. Very productive run stopper, not so much pass rusher. He would fit & is a known commodity with vast experience playing for Wade, I just don't know what the Texans would have to trade in return?

I will just say most Dallas fans that I know will be happy for him to leave. No pass rush and average run stuffing. Strickly back-up/rotation guy that I would be less than excited about being a Texan.

This. When they pulled him from San Diego a few years back I was excited that they got a trenches guy who was tough and a Wade guy. He basically has been non-existent..as AT said, no rush at all and minimal run game effect. Just holds the line sometimes.

Everytime I saw a Dallas game, I saw him stuffing a runner in the backfield.

Watching a few Dallas clips on youtube...it's easy to pick out Olshansky, he's a big ol' boy. Don't know about having him here though. Seems hilariously slow off the snap, gets no push/penetration, doesn't really have the foot speed to be a run-stopper either. What he IS, is a big ol' boy, 6'5'' 315 or so. He's just a big brick for OL to handle.

Here's how I would accept Igor on this team: Gain 15 pounds of cheese burger weight. Teach him how to go when the ball is snapped and put him at DT. If he can use his mass to occupy both the C and a G on passes everyone else will be one-on-one with their OL. On runs it will keep Demeco and Cushing clean to flow to the play.

You must have been seeing ghosts or something. Dallas went games last year where none of the DLmen stuffed a guy in the backfield much less Igor.

We need a run stuff at NT. The guys we have are too light (weird to say that about a guy pushing 300) to anchor and hold the point of attack. We are going to get brutalized up the middle if something isn't done. Not saying Igor is all that and a bag of chips, but on short yardage and obvious run downs he seems like a better choice than now.

Well I can count on less than one hand how many times I turn it to a Dallas game so go figure.

He could get cut from Dallas as a cap casualty. I'd be perfectly fine bringing him in to a reasonable contract (back up money) and letting him compete. If he makes the squad because he's better, then great. If not, release him. He's followed Wade before - San Diego / Dallas. All I know is team are going to run on our defense this year and I'd at least check him out if the opportunity presented itself.
