6 tackles (4 TFL), 3 sacks, and a FF but no nomination for defensive player of the week?

What kind of backwards bizarro world is this?

We live in a world where a 3 sack, 1 FF performance on a Nationally televised game - just isn't enough.

Slaton won AFC Offensive Player of the Week.

I think maybe some of these awards don't take the MNF game into account.

It has to be an oversight that Mario didn't get nominated, or, Mario will be nominated on next weeks slate, which would be retarded.

I think what the 3 sack performance did garuntee him, was a ProBowl selection.

I say Good, we know mario doesn't look at stats or awards, but the more he gets overlooked, the more he performs
    (so it seems)

He's not wearing simply FAAAAAAAABULOUS metalic silver pants and a star on his head and he's not playing in a stadium that looks like huge portable toilet. Politics baby. Just plain politics.

I believe the nominees for DPOW were chosen Sunday evening. I remember watching it on NFLN thinking 'what if MW plays better'.

I don't recall hearing anything about "Air" and "Ground" players at the time.

Mario not getting nominated is just another example of Houston getting "debacled" in the national media. Even though he just "blowed out" Tony Pashos....

Nope, this is just regular world. Bizzaro would be if anyone on the Texans got run like Pacman or Brady, you know, guys who don't even play.
