Standard fare faint praise from Starr. He got irked the only time I called out his BS on twitter. I trust him more on info than analysis.

I actually think the ball placement is the issue there. The ball should be more towards the sideline so the Safety cannot get over the top.

One thing that worries me besides Watson getting hurt is him getting fed up with getting killed every week and deciding he would rather play somewhere else when his contract is up.

That would be horrible! I could see the Colts willing to add him as an authorized user to their bank account and let him withdraw whatever amount it would take to make him a Colt. They definitely have the offensive line to protect him. Man, Cal would lose his sh1t if that were to happen. Wouldn’t he? I could see it turn physical between him, O’Brien and or Devlin. Someone might even end up with a gunshot wound, lol!

I have said before, the draft picks on the oline and Tunsil were as much about keeping DW4 here and alive as anything. If you do nothing he could tell us to F off. Now he sees the investment in the line, you come to him a year early and ask how many zeroes he wants, get it done this off season. You can even ask for a slight discount as you point to his shiny toys and oline

I love Watson but IMO he will always be a QB that gets hit a great deal. The more time you give him, the more time he will take. Some of that could be the play calls as we know he likes to throw down field and those plays take time. Until this O-line gels, we need more short passes that get the ball out quickly to keep him from getting hit - much like a west coast offense.

He's not going to turn down the absurd bag of guaranteed money he's going to get offered this offseason to play at risk of injury for the two remaining years on his deal here, not counting franchise tag options.

He'll be a Texan for several more years. As long as the Texans keep him in one piece for several more years.

Who is the last young top 5 QB that made it to free agency? The Texans have there guy for the next 15 years.

Maybe not to free agency but not on the team anymore because of getting hit over & over. Oliver Luck.

Just saw a stat on NFLN, Watson is 14-9 as a starter. All 9 losses have been by one score.

That has to be for regular season only. I know we lost to the Colts 21 - 7 in the wildcard game last year. Still goes to show how important he is to this team.

Say what you will, but when discussing QBs and their rankings all-time, you never hear people discuss their offense, their OL, or their coaches. You base it off wins and stats. 20 years from now, no one will even know or care what the OL did. Did Watson win a SB? Where does he rank all-time in passing stats?

Tweet from @TexansCap: Goff just received $33.5m per on $110m in guarantees. And Watson likely waits for Mahomes to sign and reset the market.
