That's my vote, and it's not a tough one personally.

And I'm totally on the 'Lawrence is the best QB prospect since ever' train. But Deshaun is our dude now and I believe we can win it with him, simple as.

Much too early for this speculation imo. Does Watson stay healthy? Does he continue to improve? If the Texans finish with the worst record, one of those two is probably no and that changes the whole dynamic

as we used to say at work, "it's been overcome by recent events".
I'm one of many who didn't see Gaine's termination coming.

Pretty sure a grand total of zero did who don't work on Kirby. Even there I'd bet low.

Hence the OC knowing how to utilize some quality TEs. He had two rookies with special qualities. Just didn't or couldn't use them like he probably wanted to

Given the state of the OL, I would lean toward couldn't

First no way we get 1.1 but if we did and I love these scenario type discussions I draft Trevor. We now control Watson thru his 5th year 2021 very cheaply which guarantees us two more for your scenario not including tags. I love a trade with huge haul but as of now Trevor could be as good if not better than Watson. We would have picks #33 & 65 plus at least one third round comp. End of 2021 season you decide which to continue with and trade other or even better if roster is where it should be keep both. A highly productive QB vet should bring even more than a trade 2020.

We should remember a poor record in 2019 does not necessarily mean we have a bad team.

You have completely lost your damn mind if you think the Texans would even remotely think about using a 1st to draft a qb while already having a franchise qb. I can see a third rounder, maybe, but no way in hell they take a chance (and highly likely they get it wrong) to let Watson walk even after tagging him a couple of times just to see if the draftee pans out. I can, however, see them using every 1st rounder on the offensive line from here on out given our coaching’s ineptitude.
Unless Watson catches the Andrew Luck type injury bug, he’s our guy for the long haul and will be extremely hard for some rookie to think he’s just going to come in and dethrone him.

You've lost your mind if Texans cannot evaluate Trevor after two years of Watson's 4th and 5th seasons. No tag is involved until after that. Watson could be HOF but so could Trevor; do not let either go until after 2022 draft.

After the Eagles set the bar the way that did, paying Wentz this early. Will put pressure on teams like the Texans to quickly pay their young franchise quarterback. If Watson numbers increase, we can best believe the Texans will lock him up for years to come.

Remember Brandon Stokley, Dallas Clark? TE in name only. We put Vincynt Smith in at WR & asked Ryan Griffin to block.

    I'm leaning towards wouldn't.

Put an extra OL on the field, put your TEs in place of your injured WRs.

He tried that in 2017. Which OL that couldn't block would you have put on the field?
