Coogs 2-0 to start the season after blasting Arizona 45-18. We were pitching a shut-out until we started resting starters.

Welcome back to Houston Sumlin, you P.O.S.

You can bet your arse that Arizona stops scheduling UH while Sumlin is there.

I thought Applewhite took his foot off the gas too early. But when the lead started dwindling, I really liked how he threw the first team back out there to reset the tone. They were so much better than Arizona it was conical.

This is a big test saturday and I don't really know how its going to go, but it would be a good step forward if UH can win this game.

A big test ? Against unranked (not even getting a single vote) TTech? Shouldn't even be a challenge.

We have played 2 crap teams in Houston, and this is the first time on the road. We did manage to lose to this same crap team at home last year.

TT on the road will be a test for sure. Coogs will have the same intensity they had against AZ.

Was chatting with my UH buddy at lunch. He says "Weird things always seem to happen in Lubbock".

I think a solid win over the Red Raiders would give the Coogs a legitimate shot at cracking the Top 25 poll.

The Houston at Texas Tech game will air locally on regular FOX at 3:15 PM. I'll definitely watch it. Eat 'em up, Cougs! If they beat Texas Tech on the road and reach 3-0 they should sniff the top 25, IMO.

Renowned sports statistician Jeff Sagarin has his college football rankings up. He has the Cougars at #41 and the Red Raiders at #57. The winner should get a bump in the rankings, but maybe not into the top 25.

First team to score 50+ points today will win? Both offenses look very capable of scoring 2 or 3 TDs per quarter. Our defense is better than it's looking. Some sloppy tackling on Texas Tech's second Touchdown.

The way Tech's offense can strike fast they're taking superstar DT Ed Oliver out of the game. I've only heard his name mentioned once so far in the game. In terms of a good play he made.

Going to be hard for Ed Oliver to win the Heisman award.
Because of games like today when he can be taken out of the game.

Oh nice. Houston regains a 21-14 lead late in the 1st quarter!
Buckle your seat belts for a shootout... 20 seconds is all it took.

First team to score 50, maybe 60, will win today. Go Houston Cougars!
