Please share your favorite team(s) news so we can all encourage and congratulate as a group.
I have two favorites:
Willowridge -- always and forever, too much history there. The enrollment has dropped significantly, the team is small and have experienced significant struggles over the last few years. We have a new coach this year and the boys who were winless last year, have gone forward and won two games, one of which they were predicted to lose by 30.
Hightower -- First a big shout out to A. J. Highsmith, former quarterback and now a freshman at University of Miami (Hurricanes) for playing in his first game as a college student.
The Hurricanes (Hightower) are off to a great start, and will face their toughest district challenger, Elkins, this weekend. If fortunate enough to go undefeated, or at least win District, then we can see how this year's team will progress in the post season. Given that all compeitition was within the FBISD with the exception of Eisenhower, it will be interesting to see how well the team will perform at the next level.
Good luck and a good week for our favorite teams!
