Now Hiring: A short man with powerful, accurate leg. Must be able to kick a football. Experienced preferred. Apply at Kirby Drive, Reliant Stadium. Ask for Gary or Rick.

It would be quite an understatement to say I'm disappointed in Bullock.

You guys might need to start worrying about Foster also, looks really malcontent and isn't exactly getting any younger.

Yeah. Kickers are not something to get sentimental about. He is a 5th round pick who isn't working out. Those were long kicks but the number of misses (those counted and the ones that got iced by Munchak) are hard to ignore. The Texans need to be investigating free agent kickers tomorrow. Maybe even later today.

Bullock isn't going to cut it.

I wonder how long a leash he's going to get. 20% is pitiful. I know the misses were fairly long but an NFL kicker should be at least 50% from 50+ yards.

I am disappointed as well, but kickers need time to progress as well. I remember watching Matt Prater as a rookie playing for Denver. Fans were calling for his head because he kept missing kicks.

Prater's now regarded as one of the "elite" kickers in the league. So I'm willing to stick with Bullock for a bit and see what he has. He obviously has the leg strength, and that's already half of what he needs as a kicker.

I don't think his age or the "Aggie Connection" will save him. That stuff has to be more or less automatic and he's a train wreck back there. We've seen kickers sent packing for far less than he's done in just two weeks. Maybe last weeks game winner buys him some more time but look in his eyes. That young man is thinking too much and he's going to keep missing. There's not a doubt in my mind that the Texans coaches are thinking the same thing.

I bet Bullock doesn't make it two more weeks without some incredible, unforeseen change in his performance

Today confirms that last year's injury wasn't the cause of Bullock's inaccuracy. We must find a kicker or it's going to be a long season (which it may be anyway.) But he should be cut even before somebody else is found.

Foster gets better with more carries, he always has and he did towards the end here as well. We are ok !

I'm not worried about Foster. Look at the game in San Diego then re-watch this one. The guy, imo, hardly even looked like the same running back. I see even more improvement to come as he gets more in-game reps. I do loves me some Tate, though.

Looks like Randy has developed what they call in golf a two-way miss -- has to take one side out of it.

Understand. Meaningless though. I wouldn't expect him to say anything else for another week, maybe two. If this continues they'll go in another direction. Too much riding on this season. The Texans think they're going to contend for a Super Bowl appearance this year. Bad kicking isn't going to allowed to derail that I don't think.

I'll say it here too, even specialist have to have some time to get used to the pressure of the NFL.

He has the distance at least, they aren't sending him out there for 50 yard kicks if he's missing it in practice.
