I wouldn't be adverse to it. I really don't understand the reticence some people have about hiring this guy. He took Tony Dungy's team to the Super Bowl but he faced a Raiders team that he built when he got there. I think the guy has been successful and could be again.

I really wish we could get the coach back that went to the be the Raiders OC. He was good.

Knapp? He lasted all of one season and was ripped apart for his play calling. The "magic" he did with TJ in 2011 was more Kubiak than him.

    I would take Chucky in a heart-beat.

His passion for the game alone would improve the Texans.

If it were between Kubiak and gruden then gruden. But if this team has a chance for someone else then definately not gruden.

I'd take Chucky in a heartbeat. I think his demeanor would give this team an edge that they sorely need.

I'm not all the way done with Kubiak, but I'm getting very close. He needs to show that he's learned some things after all these years on the job.

He brings a fire that we have never had on the sidelines. He's been watching and taking notes for years now. I could see doing good here.

Me too. He's had a lot of time to study the evolution of the game, he talks about it all the time. He has been sitting down with guys entering the draft for awhile as well so you would think he has a good feeling for who alot of the guys in the league are personally. He brings a passion that we desperately need.

I think the fire he brings would elevate the level of play here for a little while. Maybe even win a Super Bowl with the talent we've got here.

& granted, the deal that brought him to Tampa Bay hamstrung him as far as the draft goes, but if the Texans had seasons like the Bucs last 4 seasons under Gruden, the pink soap would have his name on it.

The word mediocrity would be thrown around left & right. I'm not seeing the appeal.

How can you write these two statements in the same post?

You don't see the appeal of winning a superbowl?

I would hire him in a NY minute... we'd still keep our WC concepts and unlike Kubiak, he has attitude and will hold people accountable.

Per PFT, Gruden would like to give coaching "one more try":

It is looking like the East is Dallas', so I don't know that he ends up there, but it is interesting that he is allegedly eyeing a comeback. With the QB talent that is coming out in this draft, he could be a great grab for someone.

You notice how this happens when Texans are having a bad year. Cue Cowher in 3.2.1...
