It's a pipe dream to think one of these OLT guys will fall to the eighteen.

Ouch. Thats not a good position for us. Man, I am not sure how stoked I would be over a 1st round RB.

I would SERIOUSLY try to trade down in this scenario. Pitt needs a RB to compliment FAST Willie Parker. Maybe they would like their pick of Mendenhall, Stewart, and Jones. All we ask is their 2nd which is pretty much a third since its so low afterall.

Maybe Atlanta wants to trade back into the first round and grab Chad Henne before he gets snapped up. Those 2 second rounders and a third would be awfully nice to have.

Man I would not like that at all.

I am all about the big uglies ... I mean one of these years one will be drafted early instead of keep treading water.

real interesting. glad to see Hardy in the first round, simply because he HAS to go first round. best WR in the draft, would be a shame. of course i'd get over that shame if Miami took him at #32.

I think the shocker is Chris Williams at #5. This mock doesn't make the Texans pick at #18 too appealing to a team wanting to trade up unless they want a rb in an already deep rb draft. I like the safety pick of Tyrell Johnson over Phillips to the Giants. Some of the pay draft sites and publications that I have/subscribe to have him rated higher than Phillips.

I'm kinda smitten with Mendenhall so I'm good with that.

I'd be good with Mayo also as per your sig. He has been shooting up alot of the draft boards lately.

Interesting tonight on NFLn's pre draft mock...CC and Lombardi had Phillips going to the bucs (Lumbardi had the final 16)....Makes sense...age at the coners and he doen't have to start right way... Green Bay and the bucs are both good situations for Phillips if he is going to keep the streak alive. Play the slot in the nickle...tamapa 2.

O.K. I know he is the draft guru gaud....but doesn't that statement strike anyone besides me as odd....drafting a three technique DT into 3-4 team ? I know Willlford's contract is coming up....smoke....smoke...smoke....they're tring to get the Natti to bite. Big Drop off at Dt once Elllis goes off the board.

No what the wolf in New Englnd wouldn't pass up is a lock like Richard Seymore...Ellis ain't that in 3-4.

I see someone else suffers from man-love :)

Gosselins best mock but yet flawed at least in Stewarts case. either he is a top 10 pick or he isn't. the surgery was a success & he will be fully recovered by the beginning of the season. not only that he is a far better fit for the Texans system over Mendenhall :wesmantexanfan:

Mendenhall is the best RB in this draft IMO. I would be happy with him or Stewert. We could finally have our franchise RB. One less need on a team with still several needs. There will still be opportunities for us to add talent before the season starts.

In all due respect, gonna have to disagree with 3 of the old Mock-Draft-Kings
first 4 picks. Dorsey is at the top of the Rams Board, and althought DE is a bigger need, the Rams will move Carriker back to DE to take their top-rated player. And ATL will therefor take QB Ryan. The Chiefs may very well draft OLineman at #5, but nore likely to be Clady, Albert, or Otah than Chris Williams IMO. But we shall see in a few hours if the Gosselins insider info is still as accurate as in past years ?

Yea, but remember "backs are a dime a dozen", especially with Denver Broncos and their alumni.
I dunno, what's the chance of the Texans "overdrafting" a player here like
LT Sam Baker or even DE Groves ?

I don't want Baker either. I'd rather see them reach for Duane Brown than draft Baker. I'm confident that Rick Smith won't reach. He seems too well prepared and savy.

I would love it if Mendenhall fell to us.
