Probably not too popular with the players but I'm all about lengthening the season.

Puh-lease stretch it out as long as you'd like, Roger.

I don't know about the Pro bowl thing, But I would see fans missing out on seeing some good players, being that I can't see a team that is preparing for the super bowl would allow their players to play a week before their big (meaningless) game, esp if they got hurt..

last year 5 arizona players and 3 Pittsburgh players
    (7 starters)

Granted I know all other major sports play the All star game in the middle of the season, but they aren't as rough and tumble as NFL (hockey could be close)

Wow the pro bowl the week before the Super Bowl?

    Only if it's flag football.

That would be fine by me. Maybe flag football and a skills competition.

You might get more competition if the guys felt like they wouldn't be at huge risk for a possibly career ending injury on a meaningless game.

The pro bowl before the Super Bowl just isn't right. Why on earth would the two teams going to the Super Bowl even think about sending their players to the pro bowl? I just can't see this one flying.

Somebody better have a legitimate plan in place for adequate offseason/preseason player development/preparation/evaluation BEFORE the extension of the proposed season.

As a season ticket holder, nothing would make me happier than to not pay for 2 preseason games and make them real games instead. Much more "bang for the buck."
