Quote: "I'll tell you this, (WR) Bobby Williams has impressed the heck out of me. This guy is staring at a tough group to crack, but he proves every day that he can play NFL football. He's very impressive."

I saw #15 in some of the camp photos posted and didn't know who it was. Just that T. Holliday came up to about his waist ;^) GK usually dosen't go on much about rookies or UDFAs so I guess he's doing well.

Did he happen to catch anyone's eye who attended the practices? And to those able to attend in the future, please peel an eye for him and report back please.

Never knew his name. His braids covered his name and his number was not on the roster sheet on Friday. But he made plays both practices I was there.

I attended saturdays practice and was pretty impressed with him also.I dont know if it was his dreads that got my attention, but when he got it , it stayed on him. Looks like a solid kid . That being said i really doubt he makes our team, too many good receivers on this team.

Kubiak also once said that Wali Lundy was "going to play in this league a long, long time".

Correct. 6' 4" 215lb UDFA out of North Alabama. I hadn't heard of him either and surely didn't recognize him. Yeah, he's got a head full-0-dreads, don't he? ;^)

Another question on the roster. Drafted rookies and *some* UDFAs and 2nd year player have an asterick(sp?) by their name. Usually there is a legend that tells one what is being noted specifically but I don't see it on the roster page? Can anyone fill in this blank for me?

    So that's who that was...

I saw him make a nice play in training camp but couldn't see who it was because of the dreads...

Heh. Just trust the opposite of everything he says to be true. Using
this logic, Bobby Williams SUCKS and is only a training camp body.

I wouldn't say he sucked, but fighting a battle that likely can't be won. Even if we whack A Davis, we still have our newest draft picks. Holliday and Dickerson.

Heck, I thought Darnell Jenkins was great a couple seasons ago.

Yeah, I expected Darnell Jenkins to do something, too.

Williams is probably going to be a PS guy.

Kubiak always falls in love with a practice squad, udfa type of WR in the offseason. A guy that really works hard and really works on both the field and special teams.

I think its more motivation than anything else for the other players. If they believe Kubiak may give their spot away to a guy who is a 100% effort kind of guy, it picks them up a little.

Ive got no problem with it
