Well, people's predictions are irrelevant. Regardless of how they played, and they did have a better showing than I expected, it still ended up in the L column. That's the only thing that matters. Another game they shoulda, coulda won but didn't. Another team with a winning record, assuming the Saints go on to have a winning record, that they don't beat (OB 11-28).

Yes, it was a good game, exciting game no less, but it was a loss. There are no moral victory standings.

The timeout, challenge, or go for it is where all the confusion comes in because he has to figure out the next play too. This is why I don't like the idea of the head coach calling plays. He has enough on his plate deciding to go for it or not, and he adds to it with his bad clock management/challenge record and figuring out the next play to call too.

On the radio they talked like there was confusion on the Texans sideline and when it looked like they had decided to go for it there were 17 seconds on the play clock and they hadn't sent the play in yet.

I guess at that point he decides to call timeout and then they probably saw the replay on the big screen or someone in the coaches box told him he needed to have them look at it. Then another bad decision I am just glad they scored on the next play or he would have really been catching hell for it.

That stat is amazing. It speaks to desperation. The obvious .... we've got to create a more diverse and prolific offense. We need to entertain the idea of bringing in a young collegiate, spread, zone, air raid, point-scoring, Rams,Chiefs, Chargers type offensive coordinator. We have a great young QB who would flourish in it !

I agree, the way it's presented is pretty bad. I wonder how many times it happened to Manning, either one. Aaron Rodgers, Andrew Luck... Matt Stafford.

    You know, contemporary QBs.

    RAC called it right.

Players have to execute. One didn't and it cost that player his job.

Why that player was on the field is open to criticism.

Nobody on this board knows more about coaching an NFL team than Obrien and RAC.

Nobody, just a lot of posturing and blowing smoke. So much so it gets comical.

They haven't had enough talent to beat playoff teams.

    Sad but True

You know a guy like Stills was a 5th rd pick.

Reid was a 3rd rd pick

    It can be done.

And stills is on his third team. How often do you think these picks hit?

    Can the guy play?

You do know why he's on his 3rd team? Probably not

The point is you can't count on low round picks to pan out

No, but you can find talent if you work hard. This is THE point. I know fans around here aren't used to seeing players that are talented outside of the 1st rd under the RS regime. But it can be done.

Also they finally found a guy to protect Watson's blindside.
