Any news on the first round of cuts?
aug 30 is when the squad gets trimmed to 75
then i think sep 4 is when the 53 are decided
You know, I was thinking about that when they showed it on Saturday during the game. Man, 6 days to evaluate and rid yourself of 22 people seems pretty steep.
Just wondering though, who is everyone hoping makes the team as far as people in jeopardy of getting cut?
For me, It's Braman, though I don't think I've seen from him what we saw in game 1. Ogbanaya to me is a little overated by some on here. And all this "talent" we supposedly have at WR has failed to show up for more than a couple times, much less a quarter. Hmm, maybe we don't have as much of a problem with too much talent as we thought....
I am in agreement with cutting Braman. He hasn't done anythings since the first game. Even then the Jets have depth problems at o-line. Or at least that is what I gather from looking at their MB. I would cut Slaton and Williams(the running back.) Holliday, and all of the injured wide receivers can go too. Some of our defensive backs as well, like Molden. We have a bunch of skill positions guys that just haven't played. Either stick them on IR or cut them.
Is there 90 now? Why all the Brahman hate? To me, he showed enough to merit a practice squad spot.
Just a total guess, but here is my first list of cuts:
IR: Kasey Studdard
I think it's 80?
Agree with all of this, but think they will keep Bulman
Not a bad list but I think Bulman sticks around, he played really well against the 49'ers on Saturday. I'll be shocked if he doesn't stick around for another go around against the Vikings at the very least.
