Ten picks to go. I'm hoping it's Brooks Reed, desperatley.

As far as Gabbert and Locker. I'm not worried about them next year. It's still Peyton to beat. These guys aren't Bradford or Ryan type of rookies IMO.

I agree. As far as potential ceiling goes, I think Gabbert and Locker are the top two QBs in this class. But only if they sit for a few years.

If they get thrown out on the field early it could ruin their development.

What about Newton? I think Gabbert might handle starting earlier than Locker and Newton.

I'm not sure what's up with the Vikes taking Ponder. I had Dalton rated much higher

I hate to make the call on Newton this early, but I really think he is gonna be a bust. He needs time on the bench, and he isn't likely to get it in Carolina. I see his development being completely ruined. He just reeks of potential, but throwing him out there early isn't doing him any favors. He just isn't ready.

The Ponder pick makes sense to me, even though it is a reach. To me, he is the most NFL ready QB in this class. So even though guys like Newton, Gabbert, Locker, and Dalton are all more talented, they need time before they can get out on the field. Ponder could probably start week 1 without ruining his development.

That's not to say that he is Bradford or Matt Ryan, but I think he would be the Vikings most capable option at QB.

No real elite QB prospect, Newton maybe but he can just as easily bust out like VY. Locker and Gabbert top 10 is a joke to me, those are unbelievable reaches and will only help boost our team's pass D woes as neither is as highly thought of as other recent selections. Stafford, Bradford, Flacco, Freeman, Ryan...

I really, really hope we watch these two teams trot out rookies at key positions and get them in trouble. It would be nice if it wasn't theTexans for once....
