Brett Favre is in talks with the Vikings. Here we go again. Is this guy 40 years old yet? The drama just never stops with Brett Favre.

Here is an article discussing the matter at CBSSports.com

    Unbelievable.

Not again. I use to like the guy. Now, every time I see his face I die a little inside. Just give up the ghost.

    He's more persistent than Jason.

I didn't read that he's actually in talks with them.

However, Ziggy Wilf is saying "no comment" if he's interested in Brett going there. Brett is retired "at this time."

If he goes to the Vikings, I think he'll disappoint. He's past his prime. And he'll be pretty well villified by everyone.

Brett, shut up and stay retired.

this is great, Favre was a pro bowler last season and the Jets win that division if he does not hurt his arm down the stretch. They were a 4-5 win team without him.

Or maybe Michael Myers. Neither of them ever stay gone.

Brett Favre is friends with the Vikings Defensive coordinator Darrell Bevell:

He has not started formal talks, but the Vikings have indicated they will probably consider the idea of signing Farve. Clearly, informal talks also appear to be occurring through interviews with the media.

If the Vikes sign Favre, is there an open competition?

I think that Sage > Tarvaris Jackson. But, the $1,000,000 question is: Sage > Brett?

The way some people in the past have talked Sage's "gunslinger mentality" you would think Sage = Brett.

First half of season Favre>Sage, second half of season Sage>Favre.

If this ends up true, huge mistake by Favre. He's always been one of my favorite players to watch. His legacy will be severely tarnished in my mind if he chooses to return.

The Favre watch on NFLN royally pisses me off, as it did last year.......and the year before....:gun:

That was my first thought when I heard this. Favre is making himself look pathetic, he needs to hang it up.

Okay Brett - we get the point. You don't like how GB treated / released you - fine... understandable. But really - if you wanna come back via the Vikes, just to stick it to GB. What happens if you miss the "stick". What if you lose... then what?

Can he just go to the Raiders to fade away? (no offense to Raider fans)

Flip side, wonder if Madden will get all giddy now and come back as well?

He did say he still enjoyed it but that the travel was too much of a grind. Maybe Madden can do radio color commentary for the Vikings home games or something. That way he doesn't have to drive all over the country and he can still get his Favre dose like old times.
