I know it is time to move on, and this is stretching a bit, but I saw this quote today, at the end of this update we hear this from Eric Winston:

Wasn't this the same guy talking about how having fewer practices in pads wouldn't matter much?

lol! He's not soft, though. Don't dare call him soft. The toughest guys in NFL history always struggled with first day of pads and fell on their face a few times. I know it's true because I saw it on tv. :winky:

I like Winston, but he needs to learn to tiptoe up to the line of over-exposure. There are some things fans just don't want to hear from their players.

So after many games as a starter in NFl, Winston suddenly got soft?

I'm pretty sure if he took them, watt will probably refuse to engage any kind of physical contact with him during practice.

Except that by the 3rd pack everything starts looking steel blue. :spit:

If it's possible to get serious after that pic, I can't imagine them not having a big collective chip on their shoulders after that soft remark. That's about as bad a comment on a team as you can give someone playing football.

    He's being sarcastic.

I thought it was funny. It's like he was saying "Oh no! Lombardi was right! The fans were right! Fewer practices in pads is making us soft! Wahhh! Wahhh!"

Ask Finnegan if the Texans are soft.

Yeah, cuz he got the EFF knocked out of him.

And I bet Vickers will be targeting Innegan to remove the I and maybe both N's.

I'm pretty sure that comment was tongue-in-cheek, but it will be funny if Lombardi took it seriously.

No. He probably has two or three handlers who assure him Eric was joking.

Lombardi sitting in his makeup chair, backstage of the set, just dying to fire off a "See! I told you so!" re-tweet but his handlers say "Uh, he's getting a dig in on you there, Michael."

    LOL.

FWIW, this could all be used as bulletin board material. Especially for Vickers if those guys were questioning his ability to replace Leach here. From what I've seen, Vickers is not playin' around out there.

Perhaps some fans need to tip toe away from the line of over-analyzing sarcastic comments from other fans. :fingergun:

Did I really need to disclaimer my post? :bender:

Of course Winston was being sarcastic. But, it also shows that Lombardi's comments got under his skin because he obviously feels the need to deflect. Winston has one foot in the media, so he takes analysts comments with more than a grain of salt. I did not see AJ say anything about Lombardi. hmmmmm.... :hmmm:

Lombardi is just a talking butterface. I said it in the other thread. Winston should just ignore the dude and prove him wrong on the field. A pro player engaging Lombardi just validates his opinions.
