I'm glad we signed Eric Moulds over David Givens. Givens has eight catches this season. Moulds has 25. Givens has the better upside, but I'm glad we didn't give into his contract demands. He's not a #1 WR and he doesn't deserve #1 WR money. Good move by the Texans brass not giving in to Givens. Moulds is awesome! Plus he has his own radio show every Tuesday!

Dollar for dollar at least this year, Moulds is a better value, although Givens has had some injury issues. Longer term, Givens will win out, as Moulds careeer winds down. But for this year, I tend to agree.

Moulds still has 3 of 4 good years in him and for the price we paid I will more than happy with him.

Moulds will (if he hasn't already) turn out to be the best FA sigining in franchise history.

It's no coincidence that AJ is now one of the most dominant WR's in the NFL.

He was traded for a 5th round pick, not a FA signing. Its all good though, best aquisition in Texans history.

Moulds is a good asset to the locker room, too. I am glad we got him over David Givens. Bills lost a quality player.

Eric moulds may only have 2 yrs left after this year or so and we may very well watch him decline in his abilites, but he's great this year and the influence he has on all the young guys in the locker room is invaluable to this team and will last for years after he is gone...carr and andre have needed a guy like that to be around for years

    Bwahahahaha.

AJ needed Moulds. Not just a reliable set of hands on the other side, but someone who he can respect and show him all the wiley veteran tricks.

Football Outsiders predicted that Moulds was on decline but they now say he is having one of the best seasons in years.

Jimmy Smith--1023 yds at 36 years old
Rod Smith--1105 yds at 35 years old
Joey Galloway--1287 yds at 34 years old
Marvin Harrison--1146 yds at 34 years old (new 7 year $60 mil contract)
    Eric Moulds--33 years old

WR's, particularly those built on route running rather than speed, can last just fine to 36+.

I'll accept your opinion, aj, but Moulds was a fantastic addition to the team. I love the man's attitude - this is the kind of veteran we needed.

Now, if Dunta will play like the Dunta that was robbed of ROY, you could be wrong.

Also, that picture up there is just creepy. Could you just keep the possum?

No, Bud needs to keep his head warm. He's an old man and there's a cold front headed this way.

OK...Moulds, while a good receiver, NEVER and I REPEAT NEVER hussles on running plays...

Watch him particularly this week...he loafs when he is backside, and mark my words...he is biding his time...You guys love him now, but I gaurantee he is on the phone an hour a day trying to get out of Houston.

I have inside word that says he hates it here.

You can tell the difference between the way he plays, protecting himself and his body, versus the way a young guy like Cook or Vonta Leach throw their bodies around.

Moulds is keeping his precious commodities in good shape for a signiing bonus and a trade....

Mark my words...you heard it here...

And I want feedback to see if you guys notice him loafing on running plays...

One crack block doesn't make you a good blocker....

And the way he bragged about teh crack you would have thought he actually did something, but if you watch the play he didn't even hit anybody....

    BOO eric moulds!!!! BOOOOO
