I know when things are 0-4, it's not looking so good.

But I think in some respects, this team at the present time is in a better situation than it was last year at the same time. They are relatively healthy and they have a Steve Slaton.

How about sending letters of support to the players? Or to Sage Rosenfels in particular? This is a young team and even if you want to get rid of everyone, most of these guys are going to be still around for a while. So we might as well give them as much as encouragement as we can.

It is also a good thing to do with your kids. A way of getting them writing and being supportive to people even when they make mistakes. Adversity building character and all that foof.

Why wouldn't you want Sage to be encouraged? How is that not a good thing for Texan fans?

I know I have been rough on Sage for the last couple of days but at least he showed heart. He is still a Texan and needs positive energy. I will be sending something soon.:texflag:

I've even pondered starting him, but he shouldn't get babied verbally when he does boneheaded crap like Sunday. He can be encouraged when he earns it.

What he needs is a boatload of letters telling him that he'd be a starter if he wasn't so stupid on the field.

I'm fine with the encouragement for everybody else.

    Deer Richard Smith,

Congratulations! You haven't sucked the last couple of games.

    Dear Jacques Reeves,

Congratulations! You FINALLY learned to look for the ball late in this last game. Don't feel bad about that last TD. That was just a highlight reel catch by whatshisnumber.

Way to go, enduro-man! Think you can make it through 2 whole games?

    Dear Weaver

we love watching you on the sidelines. You should stay there more often. That is a really good place for you to be throughout the game on Sunday. I completely support you on the sidelines.

    Dear Duane Brown,

Seth Wand told me it took a LT 5 years to become even adequate. What's your problem? Don't you know that? Show off rookies!

TC, I must respectively disagree with your suggestion of sending an encouraging letter to Sage Rosenfels. He does not need cuddling and comfort, he needs continued harsh criticism.

    Dear Shaub

Sage really wants your job and many people think he is better. Show us that you are clearly the better guy for the job this week. We'll be rooting for you man.
