No way Shanahan should leave the Broncos or retire.

Despite the misleading title that's not what the article is about at all.

If they go 7-9 or 8-8 again next season, I could see him being fired. I think it's kind of interesting that his offense hasn't been quite as productive without Kubiak as the OC

Parcells has taken on some bad teams and turned them around. The winning percentages never look good when you take on those jobs. He built the Pats into a Super Bowl contender, he built the Jets into a playoff team, and he built the Cowboys that choked this year and last. The guy's a good personnel guy and a good coach. Just look at some of the players he's taken in the draft.

Nothing against Shanahan, but he's just not quite up to Parcells' level, IMO. If Kubiak turns our team into a SB contender, that's more impressive than turning the Broncos back into one, IMO. It's a much harder road. Those are the kinds of jobs that Parcells has taken. He's doing it again with the Dolphins and I have no doubt they'll be back in the playoff hunt in a few years with a solid team.
