Texans | Shepherd takes over as return man
    Sat, 16 Sep 2006 06:31:27 -0700

Dale Robertson, of the Houston Chronicle, reports Houston Texans WR Edell Shepherd has become the new punt and kick returner with CB Phillip Buchanon (ankle) injuring his ankle against the Philadelphia Eagles. "You've got to give guys on your roster opportunities," head coach Gary Kubiak said. "We picked him up because we thought he could handle it. To throw him in (to the Indianapolis) environment, that's a lot to ask, but we're going to need players like him to step up if we're going to have a chance of winning."

Hey, give Buccy a break, he's been working really hard to get better. I hope Sheppard does a good job.

    Houston, again.
He did "OK". Had one real good runback of ~40 yards and a group of 25 yarders and nothing short of the 20 that I remember.. Not bad, not great, but I'll take it at this point.

I think, P-Buc should be the returner, if he is back... It´s his job and he does it better than the other guys....
