    Bad off-season for Texans opponents..

ENVER -- Denver Broncos linebacker Elvis Dumervil cut practice short, leaving the field holding his right arm.

    AFC West blog

Dumervil, the league's reigning sacks leader, didn't return to practice Wednesday evening. It was unclear how the Pro Bowl linebacker may have been hurt.

Broncos coach Josh McDaniels said after practice that he had no update on Dumervil.

Dumervil, who had a team-record 17 sacks last season, signed a five-year, $58.332 million extension last month.

Dumerville, Maclin, Jackson, Bryant, Foxworth, Moreno, Fat Al Haynesworth...

So is the owner taking back any of his big money contract? Or is it only the players who dont honor the contracts?

Things always find a way to balance themselves out. Our schedule doesn't look quite as intimidating as it did in May.

Best wishes to Dumervil on a speedy recovery though.

    no doubt.

It has been argued that Tuten puts an emphasis on building muscle mass instead of flexibility and that is why we have so many muscle tears, hamstring injuries, etc.

So... I guess this hurts the Bronco's wild card chances, which is good for the Texans... :)

Edit: The Texans play at Denver on December 26th, so he might be back for that game, but it will be close. That's right at 4-5 months away. I'm sure Duane Brown would be happy to not worry about Elvis during that game.

News regarding another opponent, the Jets...

    • Anyone hoping for encouraging news regarding holdout cornerback Darrelle Revis could be waiting a long time -- a very long time. Think about this: The two sides have been trying to make this deal happen since January, and they have yet to come close.

It's pretty simple, really. Revis wants to be the highest-paid cornerback in the game. The Jets are willing to compensate him handsomely, but they recognize that Revis has three years left on the contract that he held out for three years ago.

Revis is leaning heavily on his uncle and role model Sean Gilbert, who sat out the entire 1997 season before being traded from the Washington Redskins to the Carolina Panthers, where he landed the seven-year, $46.5 million deal he wanted.

Revis is prepared to do what his uncle once did. The Jets will continue to try to get him back in camp, but there have been no signs of a breakthrough.

The Cowboys' Demarcus Ware is out 4-6 weeks with a knee sprain. He should be back by the time we play them
