I have been looking at some needs for the Texans and have put them down on paper. These are some of the more pressing needs IMO. Seth Payne is Injured. Not sure if they plan on asking him back. Aaron Glenn is slowing down. Or had a down year. Bennie Joppru Might not come back. Might. Mckinney seems to be getting pushed around a little too much. Domanick Davis needs help. Wells has come on strong this year. Now in this senario we would drop down to around the 20th pick, and gain an extra 2nd. 1. (20) Marcus Spears, DE, L.S.U. 2. (45) Haloti Ngata, DT, Oregon 2. (52) Alex Smith, TE, Stanford 3. (73) Cedric Houston, RB, Tennessee 3. (77) Jason Brown, C, North Carolina Trading down to around 20, would allow us to pick up and extra 2nd, and snag Spears with the 1st round pick. This would allow us to slide Smith over to NT, and keep Payne or release him and have Ngata as a backup. And then stick the huge DE from LSU over to DE. Alex Smith is Joppru Insurance. Plus he is a fine player. Not a great blocker though. Cedric Houston is a fine player, and with a deep draft of RB's would still be available in the 3rd. Jason Brown would give us a stronger presence in the middle of the line. One of the strongest players in the draft.
