Raiders quarterback Rich Gannon, his broken neck immobilized by a hard cervical collar, promised he will make an announcement about his football future sometime today.

He watched the Raiders' 31-3 loss from the last row of the Coliseum press box Sunday, shortly after visiting another physician for a prognosis regarding the wisdom of playing after fracturing the C7 vertebra.
