I am guessing that the ownership would like the fans to wear the same color as the seats in the lower level, so no one will be able to tell how empty the stadium is when watching on TV. I'm kinda surprised it's not " deep steel blue" for the lower level and "battle red" for the club level.
Just one more embarrassment in a long line of embarrassments for this organization. I'll be there to take my medicine again this Sunday.
Funny line from the article....
How about a slamming of his headset and a flip of the Gatorade table when the game begins to inevitably slide downhill?
I'm wearin' my liberty white Texans jersey.
since its going to be cold, i'm wearing my blue Carr jersey under my white carr jersey.
I have four seats that will go unused Sunday. I hate to admit that in such a public forum, but trying to sell them is more trouble than what I'd get for them. They are upper end zone seats. Lately it is hard to even watch on television.
You can always donate unused tix to charity-a tiny bit of help come tax time but its better than a total loss
First fashion, then football.
Whoever designated this as Deep Steel Sunday is obviously a dude. Hello, it's Christmas! Wear red. Stop overthinking or going contrarian or whatever. Cheerleaders should be in red, and so should the players and the fans. The Colts wear blue, you want us to wear blue too?
If you weren't going to wear the alternative jerseys for Christmas Eve, then why the profanity didn't you guys put them on for the Titans game?
Are we saving the power of the red for the Browns????? (You can wear the alternative jerseys twice, but we do it only once????)
I am actually looking forward to seeing the all blue jerseys/pants, but dangit, if we are coming to the stadium on Christmas Eve, we should be wearing red.
Why can't we even get the marketing right????? Stop being sneaky, or changing things for the sake of changing things, or whatever. Do what makes sense, and wearing blue on Christmas Eve facing the Colts is just a weird marketing decision. (That being said, I'll wear blue even tho it means my Texans Christmas sweater has to wait for next year).
As for a football note, from the article:
Of course, this makes sense, but it isn't what the Texans have been doing. We've faced all sorts of teams with sorry running games, and the Texans still seem to be a pass first team.
The game we actually were killing a bad run team with the run (Buffalo), the Texans abandoned the run.
Titans stink against the run, did the Texans really run?
The only time the Texans look good is when they are able to pound it regularly with the run, but it is inconsistent.
The running game for the Texans has been sort of the ugly step sister. Texans have tried to showcase the "strength" of the Texans in the season by trying to get it to the WR (or have done a season long audition of Carr), and the run has been whoever we try to plug into the game at any given time, like an after thought.
I actually expect the pass to be slightly better this week. Maybe it is my imagination, but I believe the pass blocking is better when the line isn't a half step slow in a noisy stadium.
Yeah, it should be Battle Red Santa Day. Maybe even a little holly or santa hat on their uniforms
it will be interesting seeing the new unis though. they just wanted to go all one color and they dont have red pants so they went all blue...im guessing
They can call it what they want but at the end of the day, the colors are just red, blue and white.
This should have been a Battle Red Sunday. Christmas and all. Are we not in the throws of the biggest battle all year.
I think all blue might be cool, but red would be better. the colts are royal blue, I guess they wear white shirts this weekend. Red would definitely be the correct color.
I think they need a women in the fashion department. LOL
Maybe somebody forgot to do the laundry
The Texans need to start showing that "ugly step sister" a lot more love.
Not only is she ugly, "she ain't flashy".
...the passing game? Yep, we are all hoping for the best.....but I still like the ugly step sister.
It will definitely be "Santa Day" for the Texans as I suspect the offense will come to the game bearing all sorts of gifts for the Colts -
Think of television. The Colts have all-white road uniforms. The Texans, by wearing all-blue, provide an easy contrast for the TV viewer.
Of course, it's not about the uniform, but the folks wearing the uniforms...
I guess there's nothing left to beyatch about so we turn our attention to the uniforms and themes ... sweet.
I'm looking forward to seeing what the all blue looks like tomorrow.
On a lighter note, I saw a mid 70's lime green Gremlin up in Humble today. Hadn't seen one of those in years.
Gotta disagree with that statement. A lot of NFL teams wear blue. If Indy's playing in New Jersey, do Giants fans not wear blue? Are we never to have a Battle Red Day against the Chiefs, Niners, Bucs, 'Skins or Falcons?
I'd like to see the Texans wear the blue shirts exclusively at home. I don't mind the one day for Battle Red, and I don't even mind the one game for Liberty White.
You don't see real NFL teams like the Steelers going black on black or the Cowboys breaking out the blue on blue. You catch a glimpse of black and gold on a highlight show and you KNOW that's the Pittsburgh Steelers. You see black and silver, you know what team that is.
This organization lacks identity. From the uniform combos to the X's and O's. I don't need red on red unis, the white helmet, etc. I want to see a clip of the Texans on TV and know without a doubt that that is the Texans. Of course, I'd like it if they took care of the X's and O's even more. They could have Sunshine Yellow Polka-dot Jersey Day for all I care, as long as they were winning.
