Back to football:
I wonder who their 300 yard passer will be on Sunday?
Does this mean we finally get a win, and we get to keep our head coach, because beating a 2nd string QB is a step in the right direction for this franchise!?
All it means is we get to add a new name to the list of QBs that will have torched us this season.
Trent Edwards; Week 17 AFC Offensive Player of the Week
Mojo, will probably be out too...you guys should win.
Most of us don't want to win...
Take your most of characterization and jump into a bayou. Stick to I don't want...
It said it would be Trent Edwards, right there in the article...
I second that Thank You! I never want to see the Texans lose!
just means we are going to get get torched by Trent WHo cares
Damn so we gotta good chance of winning...smdh...
Is there a bayou in New Mexico? Because clearly the best thing for the future of this team is the best possible draft position. I DO NOT expect the players and coaches to go along with this mind set, I expect and desire them to play to WIN. But does a big part of me want them to lose so we can have a brighter FUTURE? You bet. Basically, Sunday is a no lose proposition for me. Texans win, I'm happy as always, especially since it would knock the Jags outta the playoffs and possibly win me some $. (season long bet with buddy over who gets more wins texans or cards) Texans lose, better draft position, which = win as well.
Even if its better for the team and the franchise if they do?
5 or so spots in the draft are a big deal.
I was being fascetious.
I wouldn't be surprised if we got a taste of Todd Bouman, too.
Great now the draft pick will be top 10 instead of top 5.
Speak for yourself.
I never root for my team to lose.
That's assuming that the draft pick, wherever he's taken, works out. Just because you have the 5th pick doesn't mean you'll get a better player than the 20th pick, or in the cases of Tom Brady, Terrell Davis, etc. a 6th rounder.
Since nothing is guaranteed, wanting your team to lose for a better draft pick is stupid. It gets you to accept losing, you take on a loser mentality. No thanks. I want none of it.
I'll be rooting for the Texans, but don't lose heart, a likely top 5 is still in our future. There will be "hungry" Jag subs that will want to make their mark.
