According to ESPN.com the cowboys are going to cut Campbell. Could he make an impact on this team, and is he worth going after in FA since everyone says we need a TE?

guess it would all depend (as much as I hate to say it....) on how B. Jop is coming along...personally I wouldnt mind seeing what it would take to some how jump back in top of the draft and getting V. Davis as our future probowl TE for years to come. And yes I know its early to say he's probowl caliber, but the guy is a natural freak of nature and a superb athlete. Now note I would not take him with the number 1 pick with our pressing needs but he will be a force to reckon with. As far as cambell goes...I think we could get/find better.

Dan Campbell does not fit our current needs. Essentially, Campell is a younger version of Mark Bruener - superior blocker with below average hands. The Texans are in need of a TE that is both an adequate blocker and a good receiver. Unfortunately, Campbell would not help with the later.

I'm all for him if the guy that makes Corey Bradford look like a good WR goes away...waaaay awaaaay.

So, are we really not cutting any of out TEs? Or are Murphy and Rivers both free agents?
