I found this at the TOMB, so I do not know if it is true nor do I have a link... According to John McClain on 104.5 the Zone in Nashville Wednesday, the Dallas Cowboys tried to trade Eddie George to the Miami Dolphins prior to the season opener. Head coach Bill Parcells was not pleased with the signing in the first place, but played along. He is not certain Eddie will continue to see much playing time, noting that fourth-string reserve Rashaard Lee received many of the carries on Sunday in the second half, even with Jones out and Eddie available. Aside from the lone 23-yard run, the Cowboys were VERY unimpressed with George in the pre-season and attempted to move him to Miami, but the deal did not go through. McClain did not have details, he said he had just learned about it. The Dallas Cowboys would like to use Eddie as a short-yardage back, but are "privately concerned that he is just too slow getting to the line of scrimmage" and can't hit the hole.
