They dropped that punk for a reason. His kickoffs are atrocious. Vanderjerk is worthless to us unless we want to keep Kris on for Kickoffs....

Vanderjagt's got the wrong attitude for Houston. I don't see McNair vying for him. But I've been wrong before and our kicking game is looking pretty abysmal.

Someone posted this topic yesterday and I'll say what I said then...he's not the same kicker he once was...and he's been just about as reliable as Brown. Let's save the cap space for someone who can actually make a difference.

    I totally agree.

When Vanderjagt was at his best, he was the best there is. There's a reason he's the most accurate kicker in NFL history.

That was then, though. Now, he's really lost it. You don't just cut an elite kicker in the middle of the season without a good reason. He has been REALLY bad ever since that missed kick in the playoffs last year. He's lost it, and I don't know if he'll ever find it again.

We would basically be getting a guy that blows it for the team during the game for a guy that blows it in the end. Either way it's still missed Field Goals.

Vanderjagt has bad character issues, and this alone would exclude him from being considered by the Texans FO.

There is a reason that players get cut from their ballclubs ( Buchanon from the Raiders) we do not need Vanderjagt- even though Brown is inconsistent. Am I the only one who believes that a STRONG running game can fix the majority of our problems?? Adrian Peterson in '07!!

NO, vanderjagt is the last thing this team needs. we need more clutch players, it would make no sense to add another overpaid, unclutch wanna be to our roster..

They will both be gone next season. Maybe they are the cancer that has caused all of these losses over the last 5 years...
