If Cal had a real GM and O’Brian couldn’t deal w/Clowney should have offered him to a team with a starting press corner he liked. That would have been a fair trade. Then Colvin could have been included to ice the deal.

I hear you, but your actions tell an entirely different story. If those people were to come back & crow, it will bother you. It will bother you something awful, as if it matters in your day to day.

I know this because you act as if you have to respond to every negative O'Brien/Texans post.

People are going to be people. Try not to let it bother you. Don't respond. Find someone, some post worth your time.

True, but also managed to clean that up with a trade when Schaub was dead weight. Like brock O

I can see where you get that but it’s less to do with it bothering me and more to do with having so much down time at work and so little to fill it. This site is one of the few not blocked so no it won’t bother me, I just respond because on most days it’s fun to argue with people on here. Last month or so it has become less so.

We should trade gipson with a 3rd & 4th pick for Trent. Our defense will get weaker maybe, but our offense will be unstoppable.

Lol, one knows how to conduct himself publicly. I will give OB that.

Nonetheless they both talk down upon us.

I mean I have no idea how hard it is to win in this league but I know a prevent defense prevents me from winning lol.

I can't say much. I've been giving him the business about swapping starter before halftime.

This time he waited until the game was over.

If he sucked last year he should have been cut or traded and replaced in the off-season.

O'Briens turning the Texans into a national joke bothers me.

I was the same way. But it's like crack. You're chasing a high. Now you're at the point where the argument doesn't stimulate you anymore, but you can't stop.

You think his next argument is going to be new, intelligent, well thought out. But it's not. It's the same thing he said three pages back. Didn't even rearrange the words.

Maybe if you interject some logic, he'll up his game. You think you're making progress. But nah... same argument from three days ago.

They thought he sucked because of injury last yr.

They saw he sucked again this yr and instead of playing him anyways like previous regimes because of $$$$, they cut him.

Now if you want to talk Martin extension we can talk.

Then cut him in training camp. I don't understand waiting until a real game to figure out what to do. It should be done long before. and not a week before like the Kalil cut.

They were hoping he could justify his $$$$.

Came up snake eyes and cut him.

    I like the new direction,

This fan base is negative for a reason.

Every time we get up for a big game …. it ends the same way.

When you've been thru that or 2-14 again for 18 years running , it begins to wear on you as a fan and you get pessimistic.

I think most of us expect this team to put up a decent record but that's not why the games are played.

Almost none of us expect them to beat the better teams and most certainly not in the playoffs when it matters most.

11-5 beat a wildcard team in the opening round then get trounced on the road by NE or KC. That's pretty much the expectation for the season …. and with good reason - 18 years of history and 6 years of the current coach making rookie mistakes like he did twice in the Aints game , the second one you could argue cost them the game.

    1) That challenge fiasco in the first half that cost them two time outs - that was a brainfart on national TV if I ever saw one.

    2) Why on earth did you kick the ball into the endzone and give it to them at the 25 with 37 seconds left on the clock and a time out in hand - up a single point.
Squib kick … on the ground , make them recover it and burn some clock and the resulting field position is generally neutral to a touchback.

OB earns all the criticism he gets around here …. Yeah , it kinda sucks that it gets discussed in every thread but that's the nature of a head coach , they get the blame.
