The Texans invited seven players to tryout during minicamp: Kasey Brown (CB), Justin Griffith (FB), Preston Powers (LS), Derrick Townsel (WR), William VanDeSteeg (DE), Frank Walker (CB) and Bobby Williams (WR).

Griffith and Walker are the lone veterans of the group who have played in the NFL for eight years respectively.

“I’m excited to look at him and see what we think of him,” coach Gary Kubiak said about Griffith. “He’s played in this league for a long time and has been a good one.”

Griffith (6-0, 230) was the lead blocker for an Atlanta Falcons rushing attack that led the NFL in rushing yards per game in 2004 (167.0) and 2005 (159.1).

The Texans currently have one fullback (Vonta Leach) on their roster.

Hopefully some of them make the team and have a postive impact.
