I needed a place to vent my non-logical concerns about this team. I realize its only been 1 game, but we all need a place where we can shout it out without worrying. So heres mine:

Kubiak said the "E" Word. NOO!

Way too many mentions of Carr in the game thread. Baaaad Carrma (ugh, sorry). But can I blame them? No. :gun:

As long as we are going chicken little....

Who are the early candidates to go number 1 in the 2009 NFL Draft?

Here is Mel Kiper's early big board for all you hand-wringers out there:

Well, JMO here. BUT, I wouldn't expect ANYONE to EXECUTE if they are not PREPARED to execute to start with. Blame the players all you want for "not executing" plays guys, but, IMHO, it starts at the top, and the TOP looked pretty pathetic yesterday.

Schaub was the worst I had ever seen him. I hope he bounces back, because Sage is getting more and more appealing.

Toss up for our top 5 pick between OL Michael Oher or DE Michael Oher. Oher brings a nasty attitude to the OL and should fit in nicely with our system. Has the versatility to play any position on the line less Center. The middle of our line is awful and I would completely support the pick of a T/G combo if it means we'd finally solidify our line. Johnson would anchor the other DE spot and we'd finally have our bookends to rush the QB. Our defense will continue to be weak until we get a DE opposite mario and quite possibly a legit NT.

oh and having two te's in your top 10 is a joke... oh yea forgot you said this is kiper's board.

He looked way off in the Cowboy game as well. He was forcing the ball into double coverage and was lucky not to have one or two more picks. I still don't understand that one he threw to Anderson and it was picked off, Johnson looked pretty open 10 yards farther down the field.

I don't care who we have at QB, RB, WR, CB, LB. When both of our lines get thrown around like rag dolls, we don't stand a chance. It all starts and ends in the trenches. We need to get better there first and foremost! Especially on offense as the OL was pathetic, but they both have to get better or it's going to be a long season.

No doubt. Get some JV coaches in here to teach these guys how to tackle and block, the basic fundamentals of the game. They just looked overwhelmed and under-prepared yesterday. The Steelers owned every aspect of the game, from coaching on down.

I'm not saying the sky is falling, but yesterday did cause me to look up, just in case.

This franchise is using up a lot of good will and patience.

I'm ready to kill something...where's my wifes' poodle?..:jk:

I'd rather stick my finger up a bears arse....than fool with her poodle.

The Steelers made Manning look terrible in the playoffs a few years ago. Pressure on the QB will do that.

Tom Brady got more of the same from the Giants in the Superbowl. The Pats only put 14 on the board in that one.

We played against the #1 Defense from last year while trying to implement a new running scheme...

Oh...wait....this is the Chicken Little thread...

I'm making my way to the Rose Colored Glasses thread!

    eerily similar.

Thats right, 04/05 compared to 07/08 are very similar to each other.

    How you may ask?

in 04 the Texans finished 7-9 to at home against the Cleveland Browns. A former divisional opponent. 7-9 was the best record for our young franchise.

07 the Texans finished 8-8 at home against a current divisional opponent marking the best record in franchise history.

    Both Texan QB's wore #8.

Both 05 and 08 drafts saw the Texans take a lineman with there first pick.

Both 05 and 08 season openers where on the road to north eastern teams and were beat like a drum.

Both 05 and 08 Texans went into the season pinning a lot of there hopes on an oft injured RB.

    Both Texan QB's wore #8

Both 06 and 09 drafts will see a Junior that is talented who is a running QB, and a national title winner enter the draft.

My hopes and dreams are being represented by the man on the floor. The Texans is being played by that woman.

I believe in the 05 draft we didn't have a 2nd round pick as well.
