He would have trouble making a D1 college team as a punter but we continue to let him contribute to losses week after week.

i supported him last week, but now i realize that the guy just isnt that good. hes not the main reason why were 3-8, and he is a minor peice out of many different positions that need to be upgraded.

I guess 48.2 yds per punt just doesnt cut it in the NFL.

    Give me a break.

This week we have nothing to complain about based on his punt distance.

48 yds per punt on 5 punts is pretty good. The league average is about 43.

We have had many weeks to call out Stanley but this is not one of them. He had a really good day punting the ball today.

The only thing that he messed up was that fumble. Thats it.

Sorry, this thread highly deserves top ranking. I will be very disappointed with the team if we don't have a new punter in the next week.

He punted the ball better, but like an *****, he boomed a punt intot he endzone when his crappy 40 yarder would have been perfect. And of course, the stupid fumble.

I mean, CRIMONY! What the hell was that... how does one team have the impecable timing to effectively pull off such shenanigans on a drive. It is a comedy of errors out there that you go, well, it couldn't get any worse than what.. WAIT, it just got worse. M*7h#r F?(<3R$ I can't take it anymore.

With what? His hands of stone and feet of goose down are as incendiary as Richard Simmons being the starting QB for the Texans. Well at least Simmons would provide value to the team by getting the O Line and their parents in good shape.

I am wondering if that is the reason he messed up and dropped the ball

Chad Stanley is the most galvanizing force on the Texans bench. Here are a few quotes I have gleaned about him (sorry, no sources):

Mike Sherman: Chad Stanley is Mr. Houston Texans.

Brad Bedell: We would have been 0-16 in November if not for Chad Stanley.

Mike Vanderjagt: Who the hell is Chad Stanley? Hey, does he need a kicker?

Bum on Street: If the Texans played Chad Stanley at every position, they would never lose! Now can I have a dollar?

In conclusion, we should never question Chad Stanley.
