Five hours left. I have to find something to do until 11. Once 11 rolls around on Texans Sundays (when it's a noon kickoff), time speeds up for me.

Back in the day, Baltimore Colts games started at 2:00 PM. The only 2:00 PM start in the league. Seems like the local churches thought folks should be worshipping seated in pews and not in the stands. That screwed up all kinds of TV rights!

A noon start sounds strange (to us). The Ravens first-ever game was against Oakland, in Oakland. At the time, I was in Grand Forks, British Columbia, on a black bear hunt. We came back to the lodge around 9:50 AM local time and the outfitter turned on his satellite TV and holy crap! the Ravens game was coming on! I think he thought I was nuts blowing off a morning of bear hunting to watch football, but after 13 years of no NFL team, I just had to watch. The Ravens won, and I later killed a nice 250# bear, but man, I would not want to have to watch half my team's games at 10:00 AM! If I started drinking beer that early, I'd be asleep by halftime! :kubepalm:

Slept for 3.5 hours and woke up in total darkness. Had a bad feeling when I looked at my phone that it wasn't even 6am. Feeling was right. I don't know how I'm going to go back to sleep. I'm wide. freakin. AWAKE.
