Looks like he's the starting OLB.
Looks like he's Not the starting OLB.
I think this is pretty big as Pace is one of the Jets' best players on defense and their certainly their best pass rusher. Blocking Kris Jenkins in the middle just got a lot easier without having to worry about doubling Pace outside...
Here's what Jet fans have to say about it.
From NY Times:
Calvin Pace of the New York Jets has been suspended without pay for the teams first four regular-season games of 2009 for violating the NFL policy on performance enhancing substances.
Never too early too be thinking about Game 1. Pace is a fine player and I'm glad Rex Ryan has one less weapon in trying to stop our offense.
Good for us Texans fans..But on a side note, check out the avatar for MBGreen on the Jets fan site. THAT IS FREAKING AWESOME!!!
Vernon Gholston will be his replacement..if he actually plays up to his potential. Most Jet fans seem to think he is a bust and a "muscle bound waste of space" who "hides behind the bench".
Matt Schaub approves of this suspension.
Wish I was that dog
Don't know if this had been mentioned anywhere:
Oops, I meant to say Calvin Pace.
And that link doesn't seem to work anymore, so here's another link:
