Well, welcome back from that horrific end to that mini road trip. Back in NRG, and it's time to WORK! Last week is done; we can't go back. Now, how about this: Get this win, go to 3-1, and gear up for one crazy ass week around this state? 1-0 every week is the goal, mindset and focus. LET'S MUTHA****IN' GO, TEXANS!!

Bills have two talented running backs and we are second to worst against stopping the run. Their defense also has some talented players that should be able to matchup well against us. Hoping to win, but barring a poor EJ Manuel outing, I think we lose.

Andre Johnson is seven receptions and 148 yards away from being one of the fastest men in NFL history to reach 950 career receptions and 13,000 yards receiving. On Sunday, Johnson will play in his 158th career game.

The Houston Texans lead the NFL with six forced fumbles through three games this season. All six fumbles have been forced by members of Houston’s starting secondary: CB Johnathan Joseph (2), SS D.J. Swearinger (2) and FS Kendrick Lewis (2). The Texans have recovered four of the fumbles they’ve forced and five total.

Fitz is the red herring today. Our secondary has to show up and some one other than JJ has to get pressure on the QB. If they can manage that, we can win this game. If we're planning on Fitz to carry the team and put up 21 points through the air, then we've already lost.

I am hoping it is, BUT........

*You can hardly label anything an "anomaly" at this point...the sample size is too small.

*Our up-the-gut run defense has consistently been atrocious....the only time it hasn't looked bad is when it hasn't been tested...no sign of an "anomaly."

*Arian's history and expectations of injuries is not an "anomaly."

*Fitzpatrick's turnovers when looking at his long-term record is not an "anomaly."

*The Oline not looking good is not an "anomaly."

*Dumb penalties in crucial circumstances is not an "anomaly."

*Key injured players returning with noticeable weaknesses in their game is not an "anomaly."

*Our LB play being inconsistent at best is not an "anomaly."

*Poor adjustment to play calling and game scheme on both sides of the ball is not an "anomaly."

Bottom line is that I will be hoping come week 9, we CAN look back at week 3........and say it was an "anomaly.":texflag:

This has to be Fitzpatrick's redemption game. If he can't get it done, it's time to pull the plug and go to the next qb up. Before the Fitz lovers go there, I realize everything's not his fault. He needs a dominant line. He needs a strong ground game. He needs his receivers to get seperation. That's the problem. Everything has to be perfect for Fitz. And everything's not always going to be perfect.

CND crushing our hopes with facts is not an "anomaly."

Look for lot's of screen passes to the RB's inside and outside, and draw plays from the Bills against the us. Possible trickeration alert with RB pass from Fred Jackson. Need to put a spy on EJ Manuel or he will hurt us with his legs on passing downs.

I hope to see us running more base 3-4 on first and second down today, but I am not going to hold my breath. We run way too much nickle and dime. Perhaps that is because we are covering for our lack of depth at LB, but it is killing us against the run.

Edit: The Bills CB's suck. We should be able to get guys behind them and make a few big plays in the air. Double moves and pick plays will make the difference in the air attack.

He was a band-aid at best to begin with. If he doesn't throw multiple picks and we win ... leave him in. If we lose and it has anything at all to do with his performance then i think we need to see what Mallet has before we let him go ni free agency next year.

Clever...you took what I said and made it say the opposite. Of course, that doesn't address the fact that our defense (both run and pass) is overrated $&@!...but I see what your getting at.
