    Doesn't this seem like an infringement on the salary cap? Why not offer every player you can't afford to fit under the cap a "contract for life"? Players might be more willing to take a cap friendly deal if the owner offers them some type of retirement incentive.

    #Titans planned pre-free agency to sign Mario Williams. Scrapped due to meddlesome owner. Bud Adams may very well have cost his team Mario.
