    HOUSTON – The NFL announced today Houston Texans K Kris Brown was named AFC Special Teams Player of the Week, capturing his first honor of the year and his second as a Texans. Brown becomes the Texans first two-time winner. He received the honor for his Week 3 game-winning field goal against the Kansas City Chiefs in 2004.

    The Texans join the Indianapolis Colts and Jacksonville Jaguars as the only AFC teams to have at least one player of the week on offense, defense and special teams this season.

    Congrats to him. He hasn't had a bad season as a kicker after the awful one he has in 2005.

    he deserves it, i honestly thought that he was going to miss it, when i he got up there, thank god he proved me wrong.

    He has been good since the Oakland game I believe. Really spotty early in the season though.

    He nailed that kick too. I don't know how far it could've gone, but I remember thinking that he blasted it through there like it was a 20 yarder.
