You've got to love this kid.

You can scour the net for pictures of Braman........and you are unlikely to find one without his lips closed. This season, he should have lots of reason to show off his new pearly whites!

I'm sure that rotted teeth can't make it easy to bulk up. He'll have no trouble now.

More UDFA's moving up the depth chart reflects very well on the coaches.

Here's my favorite quote in the article:

Toothless or not, I think this guy might be my favorite player on the team. He was an animal when he saw the field.

I would say he was the best value of the draft, but I'm not sure that can be said for a guy that wasn't drafted.

I was fortunate enough to be able to watch the last OTA practice last Thursday. Braman looked like he needs to gain another 20 pounds. He looks thin but this may make him faster on special teams. Barwin and Cushing were running sprints without their shirts. Barwin was HUGE and ripped. He certainly looks the part.

This will be Barwin's 3rd full season (hopefully). His 2nd in Wade's defense. A contract year, with a first round pick behind him. I'm expecting a monster year from this guy, because I believe Barwin gets all of that. To all of the QBs on the Texans schedule...duck and cover.

    Houston, again.
Depends on if the QB has left the pocket or not. If he is still in the pocket then yes, that COULD be a penalty. If he has tucked the ball and is running, then he can be treated like anyone else that runs with the ball. However, I wouldn't intentionally swing at a QBs head even when running. Probably going to be that way for everyone this year with all the concern about concussions.

Barwin has nothing to fear from Mercilus. He's just got to hold Brooks Reed back.

We're going to play two OLBs. Barwin has shown the ability to play both sides. I'm sure he's safe.

I should by his jersey and put 'Chimuelo' on the back.

The rules changed last year. Touching the QBs helmet is no longer a penalty. Don't touch his legs, though.

Braman will make the team again this year. His value is in special teams AND depth at LB. We're so freaking stacked at LB. I love it.

Brooks Reed. Bryan Braman. Connor Barwin. Whitney Mercilus. Bradie James. Brian Cushing.

Then a smattering of guys who have all contributed something or another: Alexander, Sharpton, Dobbins, Nading.

Shawn Losieau is my surprise roster guy at LB this year. He's this year's Bryan Braman, a guy who gets it done on special teams. A Bill Bates berserker kind of player that Wade can't keep off the roster.
