Is this a message to Kubiak?
It should be.
Kubiak better be fired if they lose this game.
I only read the bolded part. Why waste my time with the rest? McNair needs to listen to his own words.
I like it a lot better than last years "We're on the right track"
I think that guy in your avatar is ready.
THIS irritates me. This friggin mentality...YES JJ....it *IS* a must win game!
Just like how when we got set to play the Cowpies it was "just another game" to them. FML
It seems to me that most of the players sound sorta fired up at least instead of giving us this years zombie chant of one game at a time. I like seeing some people calling out the the Titans and hoping for a physical game. I know the Texans vs Titans is one of my favorite games to watch every year because you get to see some real emotions out of the Texans. I just wish they could do it every week.
As for McNair.. I don't think hes stupid and he finally gave Kubiak everything he needed to win this season. If this pattern of opening strong, utterly failing the middle, and then "rallying" behind Kubiak to win a few pointless games at the end of the season continues he will be gone I think.
With all the walking wounded, I hope the team has enough players that CAN still stand up and deliver from beginning through the end of the game.
But if they lose, will McNair have quickly forgotten his own words like in the past?
It IS a must win game. THIS is the team that is standing in the way of them and the playoffs. This game is a MUST WIN and the next time they play (I believe the final regular season game) is a MUST WIN. THEY MUST WIN THIS GAME.
What I'm trying to say is....
What's the point in these comments? If they lose he'll just say the other owners gave them a participation trophy. People say Kubiak is on a hot seat, but anything short of 3-13 he'll get another year. If they go 8-8 and squeeze into the play-offs, everyone will get 9 year extensions. We are a soft team.
I just realized that there is already a thread on this subject.
MODS PLEASE MERGE. Thanks.
I'll accept it's a must win game. But the first person who mentions it's our super bowl should get negative rep from everyone.
Can it be said that it's the game that "shows what they're made of"? We haven't had one of those in like a week.
friggin' huge, huge game though. To take control of the division against the top divisional opponent is huge. Lose this game and the Titans control their own destiny, putting us in yet another situation where we need others teams help to beat the division leader to help us out. It would be a National disgrace to have the rebuilding Titans as the best team in this division. This week determines that.
Words are cheap. This forum has lots of words. Talk radio has lots of words. Anyone can put words out there.
What matters is what happens on the field between 12:00 and 3:00 on Sunday. That is where this team will prove that this game means what they say it means.
If this season is going to be The Season, then the Texans should act like it against the Titans. This game is huge as it regards the impact in the division and the rest of the season. I never advocate a 'must win' game in week 7, but this is as close as it gets to that kind of mentality.
Is it huge enough to be "our superbowl" DB? :P
I don't have a good feeling about this game.
My faith in the team for this year has been shattered. A win this weekend could go a long way to restoring that faith, but I'm picking us to lose.
