A question. Like many of you, I am unnaturally preoccupied with all things Texans. So, I have to say, I was kind of surprised when I read something in the newspaper that surprised me and that I was not aware of. http://www.chron.com/cs/CDA/ssistory.mpl/sports/justice/3458553 Specifically, this quote: "McNair has made mistakes, too. After spending more than $700 million on the franchise, he gave Capers a limited budget to hire a coaching staff. If he had it to do over, would he give Capers more money to hire great offensive line and quarterback coaches? Would there be someone on the staff hired to tutor only the outside linebackers the most important position in a 3-4 defensive scheme?" Really? This is the first I've heard of the Texans limited budget regarding coaching staff. Is this true??? Who are the coaches that we coulda got if McNair had spent the money, but didn't get? I thought we got all the folks that Capers wanted. Anybody know anything about this other than what is rank speculation? Or is this news to others too? Thanks for any insight regarding this.
