I hate the fact that Matt Stevens was mentioned IN ANY SENSE on a top 10 players list.

Jay "freaking" Foreman!!! and then the line...
Did somebody forget about Mr. Texan himself, Chester Pitts?

Hell I'd put Kris Brown above Foreman as well, but the fact that he forget about Chester Pitts makes him lose credibility.

Solid list and a tough one to make considering how we've been around for such a short time.

My only problem with that list is that Chester Pitts didn't make the top 10. He's been an ironman starting every game the Texans have ever played. He should make it at least over Jay Foreman.

I would switch D-Rob and Glenn, replace Wong with Kris Brown, and Foreman with Chester Pitts.

Kris Brown would have to be top 5 on the list and I apologize for forgetting him. He's the only Texan we could always count on, whether it was to make a game winning FG or make sure we were in position to draft Mario :)

Pitts should be higher than DDW and Wong as well. 3 players from the 06 draft, and could be 4 if Winston steps up. Not a bad draft class.

I would change spots 9 & 10 to Pitts and Brown. I really do like Leach's game and wished they had his jersey because I would buy it.

I forgot all about Brown. He should be pretty damn high. He is one of the best Texans of all time.

I've been watching games this week on NFLGameRewind and D-Rob doesn't look all that great. Injured or not, he got beat worse than Reeves.

Speaking of which, at one point in the Titans game in Houston, one of the commentators calles Reeves "Jackass...err...Jacques Reeves"

After some thinking here is my list for top 10 all time Texans:

    1) Andre Johnson: I think he's the consensus # 1 at this point.

    2) Mario Williams: A much better face of the franchise than Carr and is our symbol for a new era of Texans football.

    3) DeMeco Ryans: Most productive LBer in team history.

    4) Kris Brown: One of the best kickers in the league and the most reliable Texan in franchise history.

    5) Aaron Glenn: The only shutdown CB in team history.

    6) Dunta Robinson: Heart and soul of the current defense, p4p one of the hardest hitters in the NFL.

    7) Domanick Davis/Williams: Our 1st thousand yard RB and a guy who did whatever we asked of him before his career ended due to injury.

    8) Chester Pitts: Has started every game in team history and is a solid player.

    9) Jamie Sharper: Solid LBer while he was here, one of the few consistent players on the early Texan teams.

    10) Owen Daniels: The most underrated TE in the league.

Some may wonder why I only added 3 players who were only here during the Capers era and i'll tell you, "Repeat that question and think really hard why that might be..."

Lots of young players (3 players with only 3 NFL seasons) but we're a young franchise so it balances out. I'm sure Kevin Walter, Erik Winston, Steve Slaton, Vonta Leach, and other productive Texans will leapfrog the old guard after another productive year or two in the league.

I would give Aaron Glenn some props and make him 3rd. He was great here and shouldnt have been shown the door as early as he was.
