Don't see it happening, but if it did. I would just be sick.

Got to think though that if these reports are true about Cowher even willing to entertain offers means he could very well be coaching next year.

If we didn't retain Gary.....just sayin.

ESPN was just saying there is almost no chance Cowher coaches in 2010. The Jobs he wanted didn't open up.

Does it bother anyone that the rumor was that the jobs he wanted were 1) Carolina and 2) Houston.

    I've read that twice

Sounds to me like Cowher is waiting to see what happens with us. He knows Kubiak has one more year. I believe Fox has one more year also right?

I think he'd be willing to go to another team besides Carolina or Houston but not a team in such a small market as Buffalo

Yes. Yes that does bother me quite a bit actually.

I think had Fox not finished the season strong it would've been closer, but they've got quite a bit of money tied up in Fox's contract. I think the biggest problem in Carolin has been the schzo play of Delhomme whom they were bat-shit crazy to extend such a large contract to.

I think most of the posters here were right that had the job been available houston easily would've been the best opening.

I don't follow the Panthers but didn't Delhomme get hurt and they had another QB come in and play well?

I'm just asking..I know when they played the Cowboys they weren't very good.

I think Fox is a good head coach..although I don't understand them signing Jake to that long term contract.

Delhomme got hurt and I believe it was Matt Moore who came in and played fairly well.

8 tds, 2 Ints and a little over 1,000 passing yards in five games started.

Thanks..that's some nice work in those 5 games.

Will make their off-season entertaining if nothing else...Jake with his big fat contract and Moore with this type of season ending performances.

Kubiak was 1-5 in the division. Very telling that the teams that are most familiar with us beat us but we go 8-2 against non division teams.

Kubiak is not a good coach (at least not yet), If Cowher was willing to take this job I think Bob is crazy not to jump all over that.

I hope he works out because I like the guy, I just think we are wasting some great talent.

Seconded. I thought I saw the other day on their "bottom line" that Cowher was not gonna coach in 2010.

    Bill ain't coaching the Bills.

The market sucks, the franchise is going to be in turmoil. It's a really difficult situation for a coach to be able to succeed in.

Here Cowher would be our Dungy -- a defensive coach stepping into a team with most of their offensive pieces already in place and young parts on D that can be molded. In Buffalo he would be another Dick Jauron. Buffalo has a decent defense but huge problems on offense. I'm not sure that Cowher really figured that out in Pittsburgh, who have many more advantages than Buffalo.

It will bother tons of fans for a really long time. If he takes that job in Buffalo, it's no question whether he would have come here right now. Houston actually has the most attractive HC job in the league right now if Kubes would have been fired. We could have had one of the greatest coaches, and we passed just so we could keep the king of 8-8 who can't watch the game ending plays.

Which ever team hires him in whatever year that team will shoot straight to the top in being a media attractive team..even Buffalo (although I agree he won't go there).

Everybody will want to see how he does..how will he handle the current roster...

ESPN will go into automatic "Cowher" spin. Maybe even Brett would go back burner!
